Count the Packers among the teams that have started signing their draft picks. Philadelphia Eagles and second-round draft pick Mychal Kendricks have agreed to a four-year contract. Dan Pompei of National Football Newspaper writes that West Virginia DE/OLB Bruce Irvin “could wear Steelers Jerseys and creep into the first round” of this year’s draft. Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent defensive tackle Brandon McKinney to a two-year contract, Jeremy Fowler of Sports News reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. McKinney, 28, entered the NFL with the San Diego Chargers, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State in 2006. Laurent Robinson has agreed to terms with the Jaguars, according to a league source, on a five-year deal worth $32.5 million. Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Nate Collins was arrested for marijuana possession last week in Virginia. According to the Virginia State Police, a state trooper stopped him for having an illegal window tint as he was driving on highway 29. The trooper noticed the scent of marijuana and found a duffel bag full with marijuana joints in the trunk. A sergeant said it was a small amount of marijuana but declined to release the amount of marijuana. Collins was charged with having an illegal window tint and marijuana possession. Sports Magazine has learned from NFL sources that Manning actually underwent a fourth, unreported, medical procedure in the past two years, not three as has been widely known. While it cannot be determined exactly when the unreported procedure on Manning’s neck took place, it was at some point after his May 23 surgery in Chicago to correct a bulging disk, and before his Sept. 9 one-level cervical neck fusion surgery in Marina Del Rey, Calif. The same doctor who operated on Manning’s bulging disk in May did a follow-up procedure last summer in Chicago, as a result of the original surgery. Washington Redskins quarterback and free-agent-to-be Rex Grossman said Monday morning that he does not know what his future holds, but he is confident that he can cure his ever-present interception bug.
